Hags Leap & Eagles Rock
From €45.00
Eagle’s Rock, located in County Leitrim’s Glenade Valley, stands as Ireland’s tallest free-standing rock tower at approximately 330 meters (1,083 feet).
This striking limestone formation was shaped after the last Ice Age, around 12,000 years ago, when retreating glaciers caused sections of the valley walls to collapse, leaving behind this prominent pinnacle.
Took this image on the way down from a sunrise hike and ended up being my favourite image of the morning. The shadow from the tree’s on the left act as stepping stones into the scene.
